Ten organisations and individuals from Argyll to Orkney are celebrating following the announcement of the winners of the prestigious Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards for 2011 in Inverness tonight (21 October). The Awards, organised by the Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Forum, and supported by Highlands & Islands Enterprise, recognise the best use of local food and drink, healthier food and drink, good environmental practice, innovation, businesses working in collaboration with each other, as well as new products and new businesses. |

Five top-quality establishments in the Highlands and Islands have been shortlisted for the Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Forum’s Restaurant of the Year Award. Extended deadline for entering the 2011 Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards – don’t miss out! |

The Highland Food & Drink Forum announced today that the deadline for entries to the 2011 Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards has been extended until Sunday 24 July. The organisers decided on the extension after feedback from a number of companies suggested that an already busy time of year had been more hectic than usual given the major events taking place in the area recently. |
