This award recognises a young person’s outstanding contribution and achievement in the Highlands and Islands food and drink sector.  The award will recognise and celebrate an individual’s commitment and work to develop the industry in the Highlands and Islands.  The award is open to any person aged 25 or under on 1st June 2009.  The individual can either enter themselves or be nominated by an employer, colleague, mentor etc. 

What the judges will be looking for:

A significant contribution made by one individual to the food and drink industry. This could be in any related field, not just in production. Nominees should have demonstrated commitment and dedication in their field, achieved success shown outstanding qualities and potential, and, where relevant, increased business performance through their own development.

Documentation required:

• Describe how you or the individual you are nominating has contributed to the food and drink industry and why they should win this award (one side of A4 maximum).
• A brief biography of the individual, including contact details.
