The environment has a huge impact on the quality of Highlands and Islands food and drink. Have you developed food and drink based products, services or ways of doing business that protect or enhance the environment of the Highlands and Islands? This category recognises good environmental practice implemented in the business during 2009/2010.
What the Judges will be looking for: Businesses that use good environmental practice in the production and distribution of food and drink products or services, and that have reduced the environmental impacts associated with their business. The product, service or business development process will also be assessed for staff training, ongoing potential and overall identity in relation to environmental issues. Documentation required: - Describe your business and your management of environmental issues (one side of A4 maximum).
- Evidence of the benefits as a result of these environmental initiatives, how you have communicated these to your customers / stakeholders and staff, and, where appropriate, describe policies, procedures, external accreditation etc. 3 pages of A4 maximum.
- A maximum of 4 pages of A4 may be submitted as supporting documentation.
