This award is given to the restaurant or eating establishment which can demonstrate the best and most innovative use of produce from food or drink suppliers in the Highlands and Islands. Entry is open to all eating establishments in the Highlands and Islands accessible to the general public.

This award recognises a young person’s outstanding contribution and achievement in the Highlands and Islands food and drink sector.  The award will recognise and celebrate an individual’s commitment and work to develop the industry in the Highlands and Islands.  The award is open to any person aged 25 or under on 1st June 2009.  The individual can either enter themselves or be nominated by an employer, colleague, mentor etc.

This special award is reserved by the judging panel to recognise and reward excellence in any category or on one particular entry.  It is not open for general entry: candidates will be selected by the judging panel from entries received across all categories.
